The Essential 'Shot

"These are the contents of my head"

I seem to have gone into hibernation mode. During this time, I've discovered some enjoyable shows on TV and Hulu. Some are old friends that I've reconnected with, some are new additions to the networks' line-ups and some are simply new to me.

Here's a run-down of the things I've been watching:

HOUSE M.D.
While the adventures of Greg House and his staff of doctors is become quite predictable (his diagnosis and treatment seems to be working, then the patient takes a turn for the worse, his second diagnosis is wrong as well, but he gets an epiphany in the final 10 minutes and saves the day) the B-Stories are still entertaining enough to hold my interest.

The Big Bang Theory
Sheldon, Leonard and their geeky ways are still chuckle inducing, even if they're becoming caricatures of themselves.

Rules of Engagement
The addition of Timmy to the ensemble was a stroke of genius and Patrick Warburton's dry delivery and perfect comedic timing make Jeff a riot.

Lie to Me
This show has actually usurped House as my top 'must see' drama. If you haven't seen it yet, I recommend you give it a try.

Doc Martin
I stumbled across this gem on PBS. Another great show from our friends at the BBC.

Hustle
And again, the BBC hit it out of the park. I like anti-heros.

Honorable Mentions:

Castle:
Rich writer & Uber-hot lady cop
Mr. Sunshine: Funnier than expected single camera comedy.
$#*! My Dad Says: William Shatner taking the piss. 'Nuf said.
How I Met Your Mother: Barney is still worth watching.
Mad Love: I'm gonna give this one a chance to heat up. So far, it's been an extended introduction.

Yep--it's been a while, sir.
Seems the box with the plug has claimed your time and attention. Don't get me wrong, himself enjoys a bit of television......until the commercials hit and then he mutters about American television, the remote gets pushed and he's off and running in some other direction. *laughing* I'm good with that--if nothing else he's entertaining to listen to from the study? ;-)

Missed you :(
Sadly, the only one of those I've ever watched is House. I'm completely fascinated by Hugh Laurie's contacts.
