Saturday evening Jet picked me up for dinner before we met up with some friends of hers to take in the RHPS. We went to some Thai place in a strip mall. The food was edible and quite unremarkable.
We made our way (quite early) to the theater, which had a bar. I wanted to say ‘thankfully’, but apart from giving us a place to kill time until the others arrived, it wasn’t all that important to me that there was booze available. The theater has a small display area in where one can see costumes and memorabilia from various films. I’m told that at one time they had, on loan, some of the costumes from Gone With the Wind. I’ve never read the book or seen the movie.
The experience…well, that was something like THIS. The film itself: it’s no secret that it’s a total piece of schlock. But that’s not the point, is it. (is it?) …and NO, I was not in costume (fancy dress?)
All in all, it wasn’t a horrible experience, and given the right circumstances I’d go again. At least I can say I went.
And just remember: it’s just a jump to the left…
The Rocky Horror Picture Show: I went.
